It’s the eve of his new mixtape Saaab Stories, so you know Action Bronson is getting ready to eat. To help stave off the starvation of hungry heads, Bronsilino’s been dropping some morsels lately. This is far from an a la carte affair—he’s inviting legendary Queens MCs to the table. The flavors are as diverse as street meats from Jackson Heights.
“Strictly 4 My Jeeps” already has some sleazy visuals, complete with a Riff Raff cameo and FUPAs in spandex. Now, the track gets a proper remix, with verses from LL and Lloyd Banks. Yes, LL put down the accidental racism and returned to the borough that birthed him to record a joint with a bearded Albanian. And yes, Lloyd Banks apparently is MIA still exists. Judging by the “crowded pockets in a Louis bag of Trojans” line, he’s fucking someone other than himself.
Next up in the unlikely collaborators on-deck circle: Wiz Khalifa. Sure, both he and Action enjoy sparking trees, but the similarities seemingly end there. Dubbed “The Rockers,” the song isn’t an ode to Jamaican rude boys, but another instance of Action’s obscure song titles. File this one right next to “Barry Horowitz”—“Rockers” is named after the onetime WWF duo of Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels.
A luscious beat, cooked up by Harry Fraud, encourages tag teaming. For a second, I almost forgot how much of a FGGT Wiz was at the Grammys. But then I remembered his get-up.

Partnering with Kool G Rap makes far more sense. “It’s A Queens Things” will be featured on Tony Touch’s new project, and substitutes Statik Selektah boom-bap for Harry Fraud’s eclectic experimentation. The track isn’t particularly mind-blowing, but Bronson’s lyrics never disappoint. Within the first few bars, he drops this gem: “The three shells by the toilet, I’m futuristic.”
Rappers, take note. Even if a legendary MC has the second verse, you’ll always mirk if you make a Demolition Man reference.
